The short version. PetMedLog is a record-keeping tool. It does not diagnose, does not prescribe, and never works out a dose. Your records are yours, they stay on your device, and no plan you buy or cancel takes any of them away from you.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and A4TEAMS INC (“we”, “us”), the publisher of PetMedLog. They apply when you install or use the app.
Where you obtained the app from Google Play, these terms are the end user licence agreement for that purchase, and Google’s own Google Play Terms of Service also apply to the transaction. Where you obtained it from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies instead of this document, and Apple is not a party to these terms.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use PetMedLog on devices you own or control, for your own use and the use of your household. You may not sell, rent, sub-licence or redistribute the app, and you may not reverse engineer it except to the extent the law says you may regardless of this sentence.
3. What PetMedLog is, and what it is not
PetMedLog records what you and your veterinarian put into it. It is not a medical device, and it is not veterinary advice.
- It does not diagnose and it does not prescribe.
- It never calculates, suggests, rounds or converts a dose. Every dose value in the app is one you typed in from a veterinarian’s prescription.
- It does not tell you whether a measurement is normal, high, low, good or bad, and it produces no score, grade or index summarising an animal.
- Reminders state that something is due. They never restate a dose and never instruct you to give one.
Decisions about your animal’s treatment are between you and your veterinarian. Do not delay or change treatment because of anything in, or missing from, this app.
4. Reminders
Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your device. Delivery depends on your device — on notification permission, on the system clock and time zone, on battery savers and on the device being switched on. We cannot guarantee that any particular reminder is delivered at any particular moment, and a reminder is not a substitute for your own attention to your animal’s schedule.
5. Your records
Your records are yours. They are stored in an encrypted database on your device, and we do not receive, hold or have any means of retrieving them — see the Privacy Policy.
Because we hold nothing, keeping a copy is yours to do. The app writes backup and CSV files on request, at every plan level, during a trial, after a trial and after any subscription ends. Deleting the app deletes its database from the device.
6. Plans and subscriptions
PetMedLog is free to install. Plus and Premium are optional auto-renewing subscriptions, offered monthly or yearly.
- A plan raises how many pets you can add. It is the only thing a plan does.
- Nothing you have already recorded is hidden, locked, degraded or deleted if a plan lapses or is cancelled. Reading your records, logging doses, receiving reminders and exporting everything are outside every plan.
- The price you pay is the price your store shows in your own currency before you buy. No price is set inside the app.
- Payment is charged by the store — Google Play or the App Store — to the account you are signed in with. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Cancel in Google Play ▸ Payments and subscriptions, or in Settings ▸ Apple Account ▸ Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; it does not touch your records.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under that store’s policy.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the app unlawfully, and do not attempt to interfere with its operation or with the security of any device it runs on. The app has no accounts, no user-to-user features and no content shared with anyone, so there is little else here to misuse.
8. Availability and changes
We may update the app, and features may change between versions. If a change would mean the app sends data anywhere, the Privacy Policy will say so before that version ships. We may stop distributing the app; if we do, the copy on your device and the records in it are unaffected, and export keeps working.
9. Warranties
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law permits, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that a reminder will be delivered at a given time.
Nothing here excludes or limits anything that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you have statutory rights that these terms do not affect.
10. Liability
To the extent the law permits, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision taken about an animal’s treatment on the basis of, or in the absence of, anything in the app.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States of America, and the courts there have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in.
